The one element that made this particular tour amazing rather than just good was Mariana our exceptional guide. Mariana teaches classical Greek literature at Rhodes university and her academic background was evident from the moment that she started to share her knowledge of Greek and Island history with the group. Far from dry or dusty, Mariana has an active sense of humour and sharp, sometimes acerbic wit – so she really is entertaining as well as informative. The tour started with a coach ride to Lindos and Mariana narrated the history of Lindos to the group as we travelled so that ounce we arrived at the stunning ancient town which is perched on the edge of a steep promontory over looking a pretty bay, we already knew quite a lot about the town. Booked a day trip to symi for myself, got very clear instructions in an email on where the bus would pick me up outside the hotel to go to the boat. The driver was very friendly and punctual, good AC on the bus and we got there in time. The boat trip itself was good, very sunny so bring something to cover up with (but a hat will blow off). Boat trip over all took about 90 minutes, one stop at the panormitis monastery which I personally thought was too long (about an hour) and super warm. When going inside the church you get sarongs to cover up. Symi was really beautiful to wander around, many tourist shops and a beach (5 euros for a sunbed and 50 cents for a shower) and beware that even if it’s the same degrees as in Rhodes it’s way hotter in symi and...

Easy to book, great communication, bus on time, nice and clean good a/c. Trip was approx 4 hours long, which is enough to see all the sites. The acropolis isn’t as high as you think – so please walk and don’t use the poor sad looking donkeys, there isn’t any need. Picked up and dropped off right outside our hotel entrance. Great service.

We were recommended by friends to see Manos for our day trips having been on several on their visits to Rhodes. We went to see Manos & Gunta who were incredibly friendly and couldn’t do enough for us, offering us the Rhodes Island Tour on the Friday. Our guide, Marianne was incredibly knowledgeable and she claims she talks too much but she knew so much about the island, the history and the different parts – we were more than happy to listen! The driver was polite & friendly too doing well to navigate the narrow roads up the mountain! The tour itself stopped at various points of interest; an abandoned village, a beautiful fountain, hunters lodge, vineyard, mountain village for lunch and a stunning hilltop castle with panoramic views across the islands. My favourite part of the tour was definitely the local wine, honey and olive oil tasting midway through...

Die Abholung erfolgte pünktlich auf die Minute am Kreuzfahrtterminal. Marianne war super informativ und hat alles im Detail erklärt. Auf dem Rückweg wurden wir in der Stadt rausgelassen, sodass wir diese ebenso erkundigen könnten. Der Anbieter ist empfehlenswert.
